Club spotlight: Lions for Life

Lions for Life, a club that often works behind the scenes, spends time raising money for the charity 4US. Recently, the club celebrated  Respect Life week.  Throughout that week, the club added popsicle sticks to the courtyard grass as a symbol of the 4,000 abortions that take place in the United States every day. Some statements found on some of the unsettling posters throughout the campus included the information that the heartbeat of a fetus starts beating before the mother even knows she is pregnant.

Although senior Jessica Garcia said that the Respect Life week was not a success, she still continues to work to educate people on the hard hitting facts about supporting life in the womb.  When asked why she supported this club, Garcia stated, “I work for 4us and I strongly believe in supporting life.”

4US is an all-volunteer organization that raises money to purchase ultra-sound machine in crisis pregnancy centers. Although not everyone supports this mission, it is important to research the facts, including a few from various sources.
