Minecraft, one of the world’s most popular games has made a sudden surge in popularity during the pandemic as more and more kids find themselves nothing to do. I myself have tried many times to achieve the ultimate goal of the game, to slay the Ender Dragon. To make the game more challenging, I decided to try to beat it on hardcore mode. In hardcore mode, you have one life and if you die, you have to start over.
In all the attempts I have tried over this school year, none have been successful. Some worlds have lasted longer than others with my best attempt ending just short of fighting the Ender Dragon when I was unfortunately blown up by a creeper. In fact, of all my deaths in the game I would say 90% of them have been from a creeper sneaking up behind me and blowing me up.
Although I have spent countless hours building houses in many worlds that I will never be able to finish, I am still determined to beat the game. I know the satisfaction I will feel after finally slaying Ender Dragon will be totally worth spending many hours of my life play the game rather than doing homework or studying.
If anyone has any tips or tricks they would like to share with me on my quest to beat the game, please email them to [email protected]
