Ava Nellist’s Kentucky butter cake cookies thoroughly impressed the judges with their perfect pillowy texture and light vanilla taste. These cookies were definitely a fan favorite! While we can’t share this secret family recipe, an alternate version of Nellist’s recipe is here:

Freshman Addy Cozby’s double chocolate chip cookies came with a fun twist of peppermint flavor. Cozby’s addition of mint candies and a mint drizzle gave these cookies a perfect balance of rich chocolate and a signature holiday flavor. Cozby’s recipe is here:
Ingredients –
1 1/2 cup butter, 2 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla, 2 cup flour, 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 1tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 cup chocolate chips, 2 cup mint candy, mint candy for drizzle
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
