College Night on Memorial Field
On Friday, May 7, seniors gathered on Memorial Field from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a chance to show their college colors.
Staff members Jessica Achziger and Kristine Zelazny organized the event which included the Bliss Creamery ice cream trailer to the gift bags complete with a Class of 2021 t-shirt, frisbee, stickers, and candy.
Teacher Jim Dempsey and Vice Principal of Student Life Kevin Meines served as the emcees, and as they announced the schools they also shared information about notable alumni from that college.
Afterward, the seniors had a chance to play outdoor and socially distanced games such as kickball and spikeball.
While the counseling department is compiling the data and the Lion journalism staff is creating the college map for a late May release, the University of Washington seemed to be the school with the most attendees so far.
