It’s time for March Magis

The last retreat for the Class of 2022 at Bellarmine is quickly approaching. The Magis retreat is taking place on the last weekend of March (25-28) at Camp Sambica on Lake Sammamish. The basis of this retreat is the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. It is well known as a favorite retreat of Bellarmine students.

Along with this, the ample time provided for this retreat leaves time for plenty of fun and bonding with classmates, with the benefit of free time that is often scarce in retreat schedules.

Jo Archbold, one of the student leaders of the retreat, said, “Seniors only have 3 more months of high school and Magis is really the last time our class gets to be together on a retreat. I think whether or not a person is religious or not doesn’t matter. You’ll get something out of it if you open yourself up to it.”

Students are looking forward to this opportunity to connect with classmates in a way that they have missed out on during the pandemic. If you are a senior and would like to go on Magis, talk to Religion teacher Debra Sauvage about being put on the waitlist.
