Several students planned and participated in the Jan. 22 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. assembly. These students included Natalie Jones, Bryce Kiguru, Matthew Waweru, Khari Stewart, Isaiah Bidot, Logan Lindell, Josie Jacobson, Ethan Faini, Mallory Whalin, and Vanessa Pizarro.
Junior Arsema Robi prepared a few words for the entire school. Senior Stella Wiggins did as well.
Dean of Students Willie London served as the keynote speaker, telling his personal story as of young child from Louisiana.
DEI Director and English teacher Barbara Henderson helped organize the students and staff.
