Finals season is right around the corner and students know just how much work goes into preparing for these extreme tests. From hours of studying and endless quizlets to last minute cramming and losing just a little bit of sanity, the workload hits hard. So why not do it comfortably? There are tons of great places to study all over campus, so if you’re looking for the perfect spot to lock in, this is the article for you.
The Ace
The Academic Center of Excellence (ACE) is one of the best places on campus to do some finals prep. Comfy chairs, spacious work tables, and single-spot cubicles make the ACE an extremely versatile space that adapts to all types of studying. While many students use this space, it remains one of the more quiet spots on campus.
Campus Center
A busier, yet solid option, is the Connelly Campus Center that is always bustling during finals season and works well when studying with friends. The café is always open and has plenty of fun treats to fuel your brain while you review. The only downside is the noise, so if you need a quiet study spot, this may not be what you’re looking for.
St. Ignatius Loyola Center
The St. Ignatius Loyola Center also deemed the “foyer,” is a perfect balance of friendly chit chat while still keeping a quieter atmosphere. While it is still a popular spot, it’s notably calmer than the campus center. The large circular tables make studying with a group super simple.
Teacher’s Classroom
Last but not least is a teacher’s classroom. If a test isn’t taking place, many teachers allow students to use their classrooms as a place to prepare, but don’t forget to ask first! Studying in a classroom gives a more secluded environment whether you’re looking for a hardcore study space or a place to chat with friends to shed off some finals stress.
