Sam Gobal is extremely grateful and excited to begin her journalism journey as a junior this year. Her love for writing and storytelling began in third grade and has grown each year since, and she cannot wait to work in a community of other passionate writers. Her zeal for writing is evident in the other activities she does, including speechwriting at Model UN, serving as a co-President of Bellarmine’s Write the World Club, researching in Marine Chem, reading scripture as a lector, advocating for social justice through communications work, and voicing issues on a legislative advisory council. Gobal hopes to hear from each and every member of the Bellarmine community in order to bring more voices to the Lion.

Grace Miller is thrilled to be joining the Journalism Staff as a senior this year. Outside of journalism, Miller can be found playing softball, reviewing the local food scene on Instagram, or participating in Model UN. She is very excited to explore the climate and culture not only at Bellarmine, but on the global scale. Miller has always been interested in journalism, and is elated to have the opportunity to write for The Lion!

Marie Wiegman is thrilled to be a part of the Lion Journalism Staff this year as a Senior. As a varsity cross country and track team captain, robotics team member, lector, Marine Chem student, Ignited by the Holy Spirit leader, and member of LINK crew, Wiegman is excited to further understand the multitude of aspects of the Bellarmine community. Outside of school you can find Wiegman attending baseball games, finding new coffee shops, and hitting the beautiful trails of the Pacific Nothwest.
