Bellarmine Girls Basketball dominates on senior night, continue undefeated January
On Wednesday, Jan. 25, the Bellarmine Girls Basketball team celebrated seniors Taylor Teeple and Gabi Miller on Senior Night.
Teeple, a four-year varsity player, has been a leader for the team all season, dominating the middle of the court as one of the best centers in the SPSL. She is going to college to play basketball, and will likely be a huge part of this team’s playoff run. Miller has been a very good role player for the past two seasons. She is a leader for the team on and off the court, and despite going down with an injury in the second quarter of the game on Wednesday, her leadership from the sidelines will be crucial when this team is in the playoffs.
The game itself was a great one for Bellarmine, who led the entire game. For the 18th time this season, they topped 50 points, and continued their undefeated streak in 2023. Bellarmine has already locked up the 3rd seed in the SPSL. There’s an outside chance they could grab the 2nd seed if Emerald Ridge loses on Friday, but that’s unlikely the way ER has been playing. Still, the Lions have great odds to make a deep run in the playoffs this year, as the #2 scoring team in the state.
Bellarmine will look to complete their undefeated month with a road game against Puyallup on Friday night.
