Bowling strikes gold

Business in the front, party in the back, coach Byron Chow and the bowling season is back in full stride. This hungry program was lucky to pick up a myriad of new bowlers on top of many returning bowlers.

With new locations for practices and matches, bowlers may struggle in the first couple of weeks to get a feel for the oily lanes. Once they hit their stride, be prepared for strikes!

Returning state members Luke Bolt, Mack Gibbens and Mark Ponce look forward to making another run after falling short at state last season.

Newcomers such as Jaeveon Cunningham, Sean Guba and Ireland Neff are quickly learning the techniques of consistent bowling from grandmaster Coach Chow.

Chow is happy with how many returners he has because of the bond created from last year. “The team seems to have good chemistry and gel well together. With all the chemistry, it makes this season exciting to see where it will go.”

From Senior Network Administrator by day, to wizard on the lanes at night, Chow hopes to prepare a solid 2017-2018 bowling team.

The high school state tournament will be held on February 17-18 at Narrows Plaza in
Tacoma, WA.
